Prohibited items to send

What items are prohibited from being sent?

Fasteks must refuse to transport prohibited goods without exception, regardless of their value, business potential or customer. The items listed below, and others similar in description or content, are strictly prohibited from shipping.

Items, goods, materials, the transportation (import, export, transportation) of which is prohibited by the law of at least one of the countries through whose territory the transportation is carried out (including alcohol and tobacco); as well as items of high value and items which, if damaged, cannot be restored, reconstructed and/or replaced with equivalent ones; items,

The following items are listed as prohibited items in the regulations adopted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). IMPORTANT: If you send items that are listed on the list of prohibited items, you assume responsibility for paying a fine of EUR 300 + VAT.

List of prohibited items:

antiques and works of art;

counterfeit goods that infringe intellectual property rights (IPR);

stamp/tax stickers;

biological agents and infectious agents;

precious and semi-precious stones;

gas cylinders;

fire extinguishers;

live animals (including mammals, reptiles, fish, birds, amphibians, insects, invertebrates, their organs, embryos and carcasses); jewellery and watches (except costume jewellery);

magnets and other objects containing ferromagnetic materials;

perishable goods that require temperature control (these goods must be reported to the specified contacts: sales@fastekas.lt separately and the service provider must be notified);

hunting (animal) trophies, animal parts such as skin, bones, horns, fur, animal remains or animal products not intended for human consumption;

drugs and other illegal goods (including medicinal cannabis);

unpacked or insecurely packed items;

unknown;counterfeit currency;single (non-installed) airbags;

single batteries;

hazardous and flammable materials (according to IATA requirements);

money (banknotes, coins), their equivalents, credit and prepaid cards, bank checks, blank checks, shares, bonds, bills of exchange, gift cards, event tickets, lottery tickets, activated SIM cards for mobile phones;

items containing pornographic or other offensive content;

commemorative coins or medals, high-value collectibles, including but not limited to comics or books (first editions), trading cards, postage stamps, memorabilia;

psychotropic drugs;

prescription and non-prescription medicines when shipped outside the European Union;

seat belts;

dry ice;

self-inflating life jackets;

explosives and fireworks;

firearms, their parts and other military ammunition and their imitations, as well as toy firearms and tasers;

tobacco, tobacco products, nicotine pads, electronic cigarettes (including disposable ones) and heated tobacco devices/systems; precious metals;

engines, generators and gearboxes or other automotive parts that contain fuel or oil;

all items whose transportation is prohibited by law in the country of origin, transit or destination (e.g. ivory products);

human organs, embryos and remains, including ashes.

ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED TO BE SHIPPED WITH CONDITIONS WHEN SENDING ITEMS

Excise and other goods for which a license is required for transportation

An exporter’s permit is required.

Batteries. Each time you should inquire separately by providing MSDS documents

Alcoholic beverages. You should ask separately each time.

Asbestos and its products. You should inquire separately each time.

Plants and seeds. You should inquire separately each time.

Batteries, they can only be sent inserted into an electronic device. Small electronic devices (mobile phones, cameras, etc.) can only be sent in the original packaging and only 2 pcs. in a shipment. Laptops can only be sent in the original packaging and only 1 pc. in a shipment. When sending lithium batteries – be sure to indicate this in the description of the contents of the shipment. However, there are exceptions when sending to certain countries, so you should inquire separately each time.

Chemicals, solvents, paints, adhesives and gels. Each time you should ask separately by providing MSDS documents

Electric scooters. When sending this type of goods with other carriers – you should inquire separately each time

Very valuable, one-off items (postage stamps and seals). Each time you should inquire separately by submitting an expert declaration

Medical masks. You should inquire separately each time.

Supplements. You should ask separately each time.

Passports.

Hemp fiber and its products. When sending this type of goods, you should inquire separately each time.

Prescription and non-prescription medications. You should inquire separately each time you send within the European Union.

Engines, generators and gearboxes or other automotive parts that contain fuel

Only parts that have been completely cleaned of fuel or other flammable liquids can be sent.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that when sending shipments to/from the European Union, you should check with the local customs office about the restrictions in force in that country regarding the items being sent. It is the sender’s responsibility to ensure that the items being sent comply with government regulations and laws applicable in all countries through whose territories the shipment or cargo is traveling. The order for delivery of a shipment containing the aforementioned items may be canceled without notice, the shipment may be detained by Customs and destroyed, and the customer may be prosecuted or imprisoned for attempting to conceal the shipment of dangerous and/or harmful substances or illegal goods, and may be subject to significant fines. The customer agrees to indemnify the carrier for any damages, costs and fees that they may incur due to the discovery of prohibited items and the violation of laws or regulations as a result of their shipment.

Fastekas is not responsible for and does not accept claims for compensation if a shipment containing prohibited items is delayed, detained, lost or damaged. What items are not reimbursed and why?

Documents and other items listed below are not covered by any insurance (either standard or additional) in the event of loss or damage to the shipment, as the value of these items is difficult to determine or prove. If you are sending the aforementioned items, we recommend that you arrange for insurance yourself.

You send these items at your own risk:

personal identification documents;

car registration numbers and technical passport;

documents;

data stored on memory media;

birth certificates;

passports;

SIM cards;

driver’s license;

visas.

Fastekas does not provide guaranteed delivery services, therefore, if the shipment does not reach the recipient by the requested delivery time, the losses incurred are not compensated. Lost or damaged items due to the carrier’s fault are compensated only upon presentation of a purchase document proving the value of the shipment contents. Only items that are securely and securely packaged are compensated if their packaging is damaged externally. Fragile and easily breakable items require extremely secure packaging, therefore, in the event of damage to the contents of the shipment due to improper packaging, compensation will not apply.
